best friend

In the mists of baby talk and belly photos I wanted to say a little something about my best friend...

I, hopefully, won't get too sappy but I wanted to take some time to love on and show my thankfulness to the man of my dreams. He has been an amazing husband all these years, and I love that since we've gotten married our love has only grown.

This weekend I was also thinking about how Christian husbands are to lead their wives and love them the way Christ loved the Church.  Christ laid down his life for the Church and ultimately gave his life for us.  For a husband to love in this way his strength must come from the Lord.  I believe the act of laying one's life down is often found in the everyday little things.  So, I decided to make a list of just a few of ways Chris does this for me.

-I'm always his first priority in regards to his schedule. Before committing to late hours or weekend days he always asked me if that's alright by me.
-He's always happy to see me when he gets home from work. On bad days, good days, high anxiety/stress days. He always finds me right away and hugs me.
-He took care of everything at the beginning of my pregnancy when I was sick: cooking, cleaning, laundry, and even brought me breakfast in bed most mornings in hopes of easing my nausea.
-He would rather spend money on me than himself.
-He finds my cellphone and plugs it into the charger.
-He helps me all the time at work. I work weekends sometimes and he's always right there with me, because "as long as we're together I'm happier."-Chris
-Every morning he finds me and wishes me a good morning and gives me a kiss.
-He's just as excited, if not MORE, excited about our baby. Chris was born to be a father, and I'm so glad I can give him that gift.
-He prays for me everyday.

This list can go on for days, but I'll spend the rest of my life telling him my thankfulness and adding even more to this never ending list of love. He's going to be an amazing father, and I can't wait to watch him with our son.
